WE Made provides jobs and job training to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment. With our line of WE Made mixes, sprays, and fire starters, our participants get hands-on work experience, a steady income, and job readiness training.

Our participants graduate with tangible skills in the foodservice and retail industry. With WE Made’s network of community partners, we ensure that everyone reaches their vocational potential by connecting graduates with jobs in and around the Birmingham metro area.

WE Made Mixes

Nothing is better than waking up to freshly baked biscuits or ending the night with a homemade cake. WE Made mixes make it easy to impress your crowd.

All WE Made mixes are handmade in small batches at our workshop in Birmingham, AL, that provides jobs and job training to people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

WE Made Sprays

WE Made offers a variety of sprays to make it easy to make a convenient and natural choice. Our recipes include essential oils that smell great and are safe to use.

Our Bugg Off insect repellant is a must-have for summertime! WE Made’s Stinky Dog Spray is the perfect doggy deodorant to freshen up - and it comes in two scents: lavender lemongrass and rosemary eucalyptus. The Relax Linen & Room spray lightens up the house in between washes.

WE Made Fire Starters

WE Made Fire Starters are handcrafted so that you can be hands-off at the bonfire. Whether you are indoors or outdoors, at home or on-the-go, our fire starters are a reliable way to get it going! You’ll only need one fire starter - it burns up to 30 minutes long.

WE Made Fire Starters are made in Birmingham, AL, as part of a workforce development program, training people with disabilities and other barriers to employment to achieve their highest vocational potentials.

In 2016, when Kenneth came to Workshops, two things were obvious: He had a huge, infectious smile, and he was determined. His life has changed a lot in the 4 years since then, but those two things remain constant.

Kenneth had built a successful, lucrative business when he was younger. Unfortunately, it was also illegal. During one business deal gone bad, Kenneth was shot 14 times, resulting in having an arm amputated from the elbow down. A second and even more consequential event was his arrest and incarceration for drug dealing.
