Director of Development and Programs

The Director of Development and Programs will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing our organization's fundraising objectives, establishing both short- and long-term goals. In addition to driving the financial success of the organization, this position will oversee the operational excellence of innovative vocational programs, ensuring effective team management, program delivery, and rigorous quality control and evaluation processes.

Custodian - Training Position

This is a job training/internship position. Applicant must be teachable and willing to learn, grow professionally, and develop soft and hard skills. The role requires attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will play a crucial role in creating a clean and welcoming environment for our employees and visitors. Once job training and employment skills are developed, applicants will seek competitive, outside employment.

Production Associates

Our Production/Processing Training and Internship Program offers a comprehensive and supportive learning/working environment for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment while earning a paycheck. Participants will have the opportunity to gain practical skills, valuable experience, and job readiness development to help them succeed in the production/processing field while working towards competitive employment.

Summer JET Program Staff

The summer JET program at Workshops Empowerment Inc. provides an opportunity for high school students with disabilities to experience work at one or more local businesses. Each JET staff person is responsible for the overall supervision of all students enrolled in program. JET staff carry out daily work experience activities, ensure the safety and physical well-being of the students, record activities for each student in case notes, and work within the JET team to provide a high-quality summer work experience.
Hourly Position: Monday-Friday (25 hours/week). Program hours are 5 hours each day, which varies by location - typically 8:30am-1:30pm (may vary depending on site). Pay rate is $18/hr.

Program runs June 5th – June 30th and July 10th – July 21st
